Eligibility Criteria
- MDI Gurgaon maintains high academic standards for its applicants. Here are the key eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Class X and XII.
- A minimum of a three-year Bachelor’s Degree for PGDM, PGDM-HRM, and PGDM-Business Analytics programs and a minimum of four years for PGDM-IB is required, with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in any field from a University recognized by the AICTE/AIU/ Ministry of HRD, Government of India
- This implies that non-engineering students with a 3-year degree course aren’t eligible for the PGDM-IB programme.
- Work experience is not mandatory, but may strengthen your application
MDI Application Process-Â
- MDI simplifies the application process by offering a unified online application form for all its programs. Here are the key details of the application process:
- Â The online application form for MDI Gurgaon (PGDM/PGDM-BA/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB) will be available on the MDI website from the month of September.
- Â The application fee is Rs. 3,000 (inclusive of 18% GST), irrespective of the number of programs you apply for. (as per 2023)
- NRI Candidates for MDI Gurgaon will have to make an online payment of Rs. 8,496 (inclusive of 18% GST).
- Remember, there’s a single unified application form for all programs, and applicants must select the specific program (PGDM/PGDM-HRM/PGDM-IB) they wish to apply for.
CAT Cutoff and Selection Process:
To be considered for admission to the PGDM, PGDM-HRM, and PGDM-IB programs at MDI Gurgaon, all applicants must have taken the Common Admission Test (CAT).

MDI Gurgaon’s selection process is designed to cater to various parameters. Here is an overview of the process –Â
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their CAT scores and the information provided in their application forms.
- Group Discussion and Personal Interviews (GDPI): Shortlisted candidates are invited for GD PI sessions, typically scheduled between February and April. These sessions are held in various cities, including Bangalore, Gurugram, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai. GDPI may also be conducted online through Zoom for some candidates.
- Final Selection: The final selection considers CATÂ scores, performance in GD & PI, academic merit, academic diversity, work experience, and social diversity.
