Your Guide to IIM Udaipur MBA Admissions via CAT

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university from any discipline with a minimum of 50% 

marks (aggregate) for MBA program.

CAT Cutoff and Selection Process:

Candidates have to give the CAT exam to get admission in the MBA program.

The CAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to their MBA programs. The registration process for CAT typically begins in the months of July-August. CAT sectional cut-off and overall percentile for each category 2023-

These qualifying cut offs are CAT percentile required to be eligible for PI  round of IIM Udaipur admissions. Candidates must note that the final CAT cut offs could be higher.

Shortlisted candidates are called for PI. PI will assess in-depth evaluation of your motivation, leadership potential, and suitability for the program.

The final consolidated admission score is formed by the following weightages:

1 CAT Score – 60

2 CA/CS/ICWA – 1

3 Personal Interview – 15

4 Work Experience- 10

  • IIM Udaipur places significant weightage on your CAT score. Even if your academic performance in 10th and 12th grades wasn’t stellar, a phenomenal showing on the CAT can significantly improve your chances of getting shortlisted.
  • Don’t Underestimate WAT & PI. These stages hold a substantial weightage (around 40-45%) in the final IIM Rohtak selection process.
  • Refine Writing & Communication Skills. Hone your writing skills to excel in the Writing Ability Test (WAT). Express yourself clearly, concisely, and logically in the written test.
  • Prepare Diligently for the PI. Showcase your motivation for pursuing an MBA, highlight your leadership potential, and demonstrate how you’d be a valuable addition to the program
  • While not mandatory, relevant work experience (ideally 2-3 years) can strengthen your application by showcasing your professional skills and accomplishments.
  • Women candidates may receive some weightage in the initial shortlisting process to promote a well-rounded student body. However, there are no additional gender-based benefits in the later stages of selection.

Placement 

The placement rate recorded during IIM Udaipur placements 2023 for the MBA GSCM and MBA DEM Class of 2023 was 100%. As per the latest report, the highest and average package offered to the MBA batch 2023 during IIM Udaipur placements 2023 stood at INR 35.04 LPA and INR 20.02 LPA, respectively. Further, 77 recruiters visited the campus for MBA placements and offered 301 jobs to the MBA batch 2023.
