Your Guide to IIM INDORE MBA Admissions via CAT

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university from any discipline with a minimum of 50% 

marks (aggregate) for MBA program.

Appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) and secure a high score (cut-offs vary each year)

Work experience is not mandatory, but may strengthen your application.

CAT Cutoff and Selection Process:

Candidates have to give the CAT exam to get admission in the MBA program.

The CAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to their MBA programs. The registration process for CAT typically begins in the months of July-August. These qualifying cut offs are CAT percentile required to be eligible for PI  round of IIM Indore admissions. Candidates must note that the final CAT cut offs could be higher.

Shortlisted candidates are called for PI. PI assesses in-depth evaluation of your motivation, leadership potential, and suitability for the program.

The final consolidated admission score is formed by the following weightages:

1 CAT Score – 37.5

2 Personal Interview – 50

3 Class 10th – 12.5

  2. Shortlisting for PI round: This is where your overall profile and CAT score are evaluated to shortlist you for the PI round
  3. Final shortlisting: This is where the final shortlist is created by calculating a composite score that takes into account different areas of your profile + PI performance

Placements

 IIM Indore has recorded 100% placements for its PGP and IPM batches passing out in 2024. As per the latest report, the highest and average package offered to PGP and IPM students during IIM Indore placements 2024 stood at INR 100 LPA and INR 25.68 LPA, respectively. Further, over 150 recruiters visited the campus and placed 594 students of the batch 2024.

IIM Indore’s reputation for academic excellence, diverse specializations, and strong placements make it a top contender for MBA aspirants. However, securing admission requires a strong academic profile, a high CAT score, and a stellar performance in the Personal Interview.
