Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, abbreviated as TANCET, is an admission test conducted to fill PG seats across courses in TamilNadu colleges. Anna University conducts the state-level entrance exam for various PG courses, including MTech/ MArch/ MPlan/ ME, MBA and MCA programmes. More than 200 colleges situated in Tamil Nadu accept TANCET scores for admission. Every year, more than 40,000 MBA aspirants appear for the TANCET to compete for more than 15,000 seats offered by several institutes of Tamil Nadu. TANCET, conducted offline, comprises 100 objective-type questions to be answered within two hours. DTE, Chennai, administers the TANCET counseling for MBA admission of qualified candidates.

TANCET Results 2024
The TANCET 2024 results have been made available online by Anna University. You can view your TANCET 2024 results by going to the exam portal at tancet.annauniv.edu, which is the official website of TANCET Anna University. In order to view the TANCET 2024 result, candidates must provide their email address and password. Details such as the sectional score, overall score, qualifying status, and the test taker’s basic information are included in the TANCET 2024 scorecard. Those who meet the requirements based on the TANCET 2024 results can take part in the TANCET counseling procedure.
TANCET 2024 Counseling
Counseling for TANCET 2024 will begin after the results are made public. Interested parties can register for the counseling procedure by going to the official website. A counseling cost of INR 600 (General) and INR 300 (SC/ST) will be assessed. The necessary files must be uploaded before the TANCET Rank list for MBA and MCA can be accessed independently. After passing the first round of counseling, candidates can attend the subsequent rounds.
TANCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 3 years of Bachelor’s degree.
- Must have 50% (General) and 45% (SC/ST belonging to Tamil Nadu) in the following qualifying examination.
- 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 /5 years pattern (or) 10 + 3 years Diploma +3 years pattern (or) B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm. (or) 10 + 2 + AMIE (or) 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.
TANCET 2024 Registration

Online Registration: Click the registration link after visiting the TANCET website, tancet.annauniv.edu. Enter your contact information, academic background, and personal details. For future access, create a login ID and password.

Application Form: Fill out the form by logging in with the password and ID you created. Give your educational background, category information, and exam center preferences. Remember to include scanned copies of your signature and photo, making sure the files are the right size and have the right proportions.

Application Fee Payment: Use one of the various online payment methods, such as a credit card, debit card, or net banking, to pay the application fee. Depending on your category and how many programs you choose, the cost may change. The payment transaction ID or receipt number should be noted.
Print Application: Download and print a copy of your filled-out application form after your payment has been successfully processed. It is imperative that you save this copy for your records.
Admit Card Download: After completing the application process, the admit card or hall ticket will be available for download on tancet.annauniv.edu. Log in using your credentials, download the admit card, and ensure you have a printed copy to take with you to the exam center. This admit card is mandatory for entry to the exam.
