The CAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to their MBA programs. IIM A Admissions – Application Process
- There are minimum cut-offs for the CAT score (each section and overall), 10th standard marks, 12th standard marks, and your bachelor’s degree score.
- A composite score is calculated based on the weighted average of your CAT score and your Application Rating (AR) score. The AR score is based on your performance in academics and work experience.
- Candidates are shortlisted for the AWT-PI round based on their composite scores. There are two rounds of shortlisting.
- Those who are shortlisted for the AWT-PI round will be interviewed and their performance will be evaluated.
- Finally, a composite score based on the AWT-PI performance and the normalized CAT score is used to make the final admission decisions.
For the 2024-26 batch, the qualifying CAT cut-off for IIM Ahmedabad shortlist is 80 percentile for the General Category, 75 percentile for NC-OBC, Transgender Categories, 70 for SC and PwD Categories and 60 for ST Category.
